SMS Gateway – Features

You get access to following functionality with our SMS Gateway:

Delivery reports

You get a receipt on every sent SMS from us. This receipt mention the status for sent SMS. The status presents if the message is received, not delivered or if an error occured.

Long SMS

Sometimes it´s not enough with 160 characters in the message, then you can choose to send much longer SMS through our SMS Gateway.

Flash

To send a SMS as flash, also known as Direct display, imply that the message is not saved in the receivers phone memory. The message is presented immediatly on the display when arriving at the receiving phone, it´s visible until ”OK” button is pressed on the phone. This function is suitable if you send a message with knowledge of the receivers lack of interest to save the message in the memory.

TTL

Set the message lifetime in the net by a statement in minutes. A TTL is allowed to be between 30 and 840 minutes.

Binary SMS

Send binary SMS in which you state UDH (User Data Header) and message data. Binary SMS is used with OMA Device Management and Dynamic Mobile Exchange (DME) that is a client/server solution for running applications on mobile devices.

Unicode

Unicode is a computing industry standard for the consistent representation and handling of text expressed in most of the world’s writing systems.

vCard

Send contacts as “vCard”. vCard is a standard that exists in different versions and endorsement is accordingly different for the mobile phones on the market today.

vCalendar

Same as vCard ,vCalendar is a standard. In this case it´s to send calendar events and it´s also accessable in different versions. The mobile phone acordingly hasto support this type of message to be able to handle it correctly.

2-way SMS (Reply module)

SMS Teknik offers a additional module for answerable SMS and SMS Gateway. The module works completly dynamic and keeps track of which answer messages is conected to the sent SMS. It´s possible to answer with a blank SMS or with one which includes a maximum of 160 characters. The answers is forwarded with one of the methods SMTP, HTTP GET/POST or XML (soap), which also is determined by sent SMS through SMS Gateway.

Group dispatch/ sending SMS to a group

Our SMS Gateway allows you to send SMS to multiple persons at the same time. You can reach thousands of persons in a couple of minutes with only one dispatch.

Number control (E164)

Our SMS Gateway does a control of the numbers before sending them to the operator, just to be sure that the receiving number is a mobile phone number and to stop wrong numbers and the cost for sending messages to these numbers. We reccomend our users to check the receiving numbers carefully so the messages reach the receivers.

Send later

This function enables you to send a message in a certain point of time. You send i to a queue in our system and we send it to the receiving mobile phone when the point of time is reached.

Compressed text

When the space is not enough there is a possibility to state compression of message. At compression the text ”a small text” looks like this: ”ASmallText”. All space disappears and first letter of every word i set as capital.

History

If you have not established message history when using our SMS Gateway you can log into our web-based service and take part of it.

Auto refill

Instead of buying SMS manually autorefill is a convenient solution. Autorefill signify, just as it sounds, that your possession of SMS is refilled automaticly.
