Important updates for your access and efficiency in SMS Services
We are committed to continuously improving and securing our services to give you the best possible experience. Below, you will find important information about two key areas: Security updates for IP addresses and new features for optimizing your SMS dispatches.
Security Update – IP Address Verification
To ensure that only authorized users have access to our services, we are implementing a security update that requires your participation. It is crucial that access to our systems is secure and limited to approved IP addresses.
What you need to do:
- Confirm the IP addresses you and your team use to connect to our services.
- Send this information to us via email at info@smsteknik.se .
If you are unsure how to find your IP address or if you have any questions about the process, do not hesitate to contact us at support@smsteknik.se or 0524- 103 50. We are here to help!
New Features for your SMS Dispatches
We have implemented two new features to improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of your SMS dispatches:
+42400 Blocked: We now manage SMS that are blocked for various reasons, such as invalid numbers, duplicates, and numbers on blocklists. Regular cleansing of your lists is recommended to avoid unnecessary costs.
+42401 Optimizations: Previously, the presence of non-GSM7 characters resulted in the entire message being converted to Unicode, increasing costs by requiring multiple SMS parts. Now, the text is primarily sent as standard SMS, and only parts with non-convertible characters are sent as Unicode, significantly reducing costs.
Additional improvements and security measures
We would also like to inform you that we have identified several new and creative attack methods. As a precaution, we have tightened the availability of our SMS services to specific countries where these attacks are common. This does not affect most of our customers, as it concerns countries that typically do not form part of their communication network. For more information about which countries this applies to, please visit our status page .
These updates are part of our commitment to continually improve the services we offer and ensure that you get the most value for your communication needs.
